How old do you have to be to get a tattoo?

18 years old. All tattoo clients must be at least 18 years old to get a tattoo in North Carolina. It is the state law. Sorry, parents can NOT sign for a minor to get a tattoo.

How old do you have to be to get a piercing?

1. We pierce earlobes at any age (including infants).
2. You must be at least 13 years old (with parental consent) to get a body piercing.
3. You must be over 18 years old for nipple piercings, below-the-belt piercings or microdermal piercings.

What is considered a basic piercing?

Basic piercings include every piercing except for industrial piercings, nipple piercings, below-the-belt (genital) piercings and microdermal piercings.

What is required for a minor to get a basic piercing?

1. A parent or legal guardian must sign for a minor to get a basic piercing.
2. If you are the legal guardian then you must provide court papers/legal documentation proving that you are the legal guardian.
3. Parent or legal guardian must present a state or government issued photo I.D.
4. You must present one legal form of I.D. for the minor. This may be a state I.D. card, a driver's permit, a driver's license, a passport or a birth certificate.
5. If your last name and your child's last name are different, you will need a birth certificate with your maiden name or tax records or Medicaid card showing you are the parent or a piece of mail sent to the minor that matches the address on your I.D.

What if a minor's parent or legal guardian can't make it to the shop to sign for them?

If you are a parent or legal guardian and can not make it to the shop in person, your child may video-call (Facetime, Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, ect.) you from the shop and you can give consent via video-call. You must answer their call when they call you and have your I.D. ready to show our staff during the video call.

What type of metal is your jewelry made of?

All of our piercing jewelry is made of 316L surgical stainless steel.

What gauge jewelry do you pierce with?

1. Ear lobes piercings are 20g.
2. Nose piercings are 18g.
3. Most basic piercings and genital piercings are 16g.
4. Industrial piercings, navel piercings, nipple piercings and tongue piercings are 14g.

Can I bring in my own jewelry?

Yes. Jewelry is included with all piercings, however, you may bring your own jewelry if it is 316L surgical steel, titanium, solid sterling silver or solid gold (no gold plated jewelry and no acrylic jewelry). Jewelry may not have attachments that move or dangle and must be the proper gauge. There will be an additional wait time as we will need to properly sterilize the jewelry prior to piercing. Bringing your own jewelry will not change the price of the piercing.

Do you pierce with a piercing gun?

No. We do not use piercing guns for any piercing. All piercings are performed with sterile piercing needles and clamps.

Why are your piercing prices so cheap?

Our prices are the lowest price in the area because of the high volume of piercings we do. We buy in bulk the same as a store like Walmart buys in bulk.

Do you re-use piercing needles?

No. Absolutely not! All needles are individually wrapped, sterile, one-time use needles. All needles are disposed of immediately after the piercing in approved bio hazardous sharps containers.

Do I need an appointment for a piercing?

No. We gladly accept walk-ins everyday during business hours.
